Beware of Disguises

Don’t get tricked by unqualified accountants! We’ve heard some real horror stories over the years when it comes to the trail of destruction caused by unqualified (and uninsured) accountants.

When sourcing an accountant look for one who is a qualified Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (www.icas.com) or a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (www.accaglobal.com). They are obliged to undertake ‘Continuing Professional Education’ and have to abide by a strict code of professional ethics.

At Thomson Cooper we have qualified staff who are members of both organisations.  To arrange a free consultation, please call Fiona Haro on 01383 628800 or email fharo@thomsoncooper.com before your next deadline creeps around!
