Business owners who could be affected by Brexit will now be able to access a grant worth up to £4,000 to cover projects like scenario planning and currency management. The Scottish Government are funding the ‘Brexit Support Grant’ through Scottish Enterprise, aimed at helping businesses to manage a wide range of Brexit impacts.

The grants could cover areas like –

• Modelling cashflow
• Modelling impact of changing customs/tariffs/VAT
• Strengthening financial and currency management
• Professional services for legal and contractual issues
• Supply chain, logistics, transport and HR issues
• Costs incurred in acquiring AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) status

Thomson Cooper are Business Gateway Fife approved advisors and can offer a wealth of support on a range of financial and accounting systems issues relating to Brexit. Our experts can provide a detailed quote to fulfil the grant application criteria and even help complete the application itself.
To be considered for funding,  the grant application form asks for a description of the project including benefits, key activities & outputs; a quote from any suppliers involved in the project’s delivery and why the grant will help mitigate a ‘Brexit implication’ on the business.
