Audit Senior

Jun 22, 2022

At Thomson Cooper our purpose is to “listen, advise and support our clients to achieve their goals” and due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an individual who shares that purpose to join our Audit team.

The position will suit an individual with at least 3 years’ experience working within audit, experience in supervising and leading small audit teams and who has a keen interest in that area.

You will work under the supervision of our audit managers but be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients, therefore you must have the necessary skill set to develop and maintain relationships with both clients and colleagues.

Although this is not an exhaustive list, below is an idea of the varied workload associated with the role –

CORE OPERATIONAL

  • Preparation of Statutory Accounts
  • Preparation of Corporation Tax Returns (experience preferable but not essential)
  • Working at client premises
  • Exposure to a wide and diverse client base
  • Leading audits and supervision of junior members of the team
  • Maintaining client contact and delivering a proactive service
  • Working as part of a team

CORE BEHAVIOURS AND ATTRIBUTES

You will have experience of working within and leading audit teams and be able to demonstrate a track record of success.  You will have excellent interpersonal and technical skills and be committed to delivering first class service.  You should have the ability to work under pressure effectively both individually, and as part of a team, and be able to demonstrate excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

We operate an employee engagement programme; employees have regular one to one meetings with their manager and/or partner and we support our people to develop and grow.  We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package and a great working environment.  As a firm we are in the process of introducing Agile working (we have not fully returned to office and at the moment we are working with a hybrid model).

If you have the right skills and experience, along with the ability to work to a consistently high standard and comfortable working to deadlines, we want to hear from you.

As part of the recruitment process you must provide evidence of your right to work in the UK.

Please be aware that this post does not satisfy the qualifications or salary requirement to qualify for skilled worker sponsorship, and Thomson Cooper do not currently hold a valid skilled worker sponsor licence to employ workers from outside the UK.
