New Partner Appointed at Thomson Cooper
Fife’s largest independent accountancy firm is delighted to announce that Associate Richard Gardiner has been promoted to Partner, further strengthening the Insolvency Team.
Local boy Richard (34) joined Thomson Cooper after graduating from Dundee University with a degree in Accountancy in 1998. He has invaluable experience gained through working in different areas of the firm’s business, including four years in the accountancy department. He passed his Association of Chartered Certified Accountants exams and the Joint Insolvency Examination Board exams at his first attempt.
Richard is delighted at this latest challenge, “I am looking forward to making a real contribution to the firm’s growth in the future, particularly through the development of the insolvency department. We provide our clients with a professional and sensitive service, tailored to each individual’s financial needs.
This service is provided by our team of highly experienced staff, who attend regular training to ensure that their advice is always accurate and up-to-date. The challenge is to ensure we maintain this individual service as the department continues to grow”.
Outside work, Richard enjoys spending time with his family and friends and is a member of Dunfermline Round Table. He is a keen snowboarder, but when there’s no snow about he enjoys keeping fit by hill walking and playing badminton and football.
Managing partner Alan Thomson commented on the appointment “I am delighted that Richard has agreed to commit his future to Thomson Cooper and look forward to working with him closely in the development of the department and the practice as a whole”.
